1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy describes how BadgerBites (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the BadgerBites mobile application (the “App”).

If configured for a given release, the App may collect:
- Crash and error reports (via Sentry), which can include device/app technical details, stack traces, and related diagnostic data

- Create and manage your account and keep you signed in
- Personalize meal suggestions and progress views based on your preferences

- Operate, maintain, and improve the App
- Diagnose crashes and fix bugs
- Understand how features are used (when analytics are enabled)
- Respond to feedback or support requests you send us
- Comply with law and enforce our terms / protect safety and integrity
5. Retention & deletion
We retain account, profile, and meal-log data for as long as your account remains active and as needed to provide the App. Local device storage remains until you clear app data or uninstall the App.
To request deletion of your account and associated server-stored data, email hello@luminen.app from the email address on your account. We will delete or de-identify personal data we control, except where we must retain limited information for legal, security, or abuse-prevention reasons.
Diagnostic and analytics providers may retain data according to their own retention schedules.
6. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to a small consumer app, including encrypted transport (HTTPS), hashed password storage via our auth provider, and row-level access controls so users can access only their own profile and meal logs.
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Please use a strong, unique password and keep your device locked.
7. Children’s privacy
The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we will take steps to delete the information.
If you are a parent or guardian in a jurisdiction that requires consent for teens, please supervise use of the App accordingly.
8. Your choices & rights
- Access / update: You can view and edit many profile and preference fields in the App.
- Delete: Request account deletion as described in Section 5.
- Opt out of feedback email: Simply don’t use the in-app feedback email action.
- Platform controls: You can limit analytics/tracking where available through iOS or Android system settings; uninstalling the App stops further collection from that device.
Depending on where you live (for example, under GDPR, UK GDPR, or CCPA/CPRA), you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us using the email below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.
9. International transfers
Our service providers may process data in the United States or other countries. If you use the App from outside those regions, your information may be transferred to and processed in countries that may have different data-protection laws than your own.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version at this URL and revise the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the App after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy.
